“Singapore is opening up nightlife and extending drinking hours. It feels like this is an initiation.”

The Gen Zs of Singapore have been sentenced to almost 2.5 years of social exile as a result of the global pandemic. Major school events, random party conversations, befriending people in person— these are just some coming-of-age experiences that our youths have been robbed of.

That’s why we threw them a rite of passage party to kickstart their lives in endemicity, and asked them how it feels to be Generation Covid.
