Many of the elderly in Singapore have been subject to criticism online, specifically for not observing the new social distancing measures. But the lockdown affects everyone differently, especially older folks who live alone in small, one-room flats.

In this video, filmed two days before the Circuit Breaker measures kicked in, we headed to coffee shops and hawker centres to learn how the older generation expected to cope with the impending restrictions. It was a stark reminder that now, more so than ever, is when we all need a little empathy and kindness.
